Q1: How can we get a domain name for our school web site?

A1:  The First Nation Help Desk will purchase a domain name for your school. (1st) Just check to see if the school web name you want for your school is available at the Web Names.ca site which is also found on our Resource Page. (2nd) Contact J.R.  or  Heidi  to help you set up the rest.

Q2: Where can we upload our school web page free?

A2:  The First Nation Help Desk can provide the Atlantic First Nation School with free server space for their school web page(1st) Contact J.R. or Heidi so they can get the information they require from you. (2nd) Your user name and password will be forwarded to your school. (3rd) Please download the following instructions "How to upload your web page to the FNHELP Server". which is also found on our Instruction Page.

Q3: How can I get free email accounts for my school staff?

A3:  The First Nation Help Desk will give out free e-mail accounts to the all the staff (principal and teachers) at the First Nations Schools. Please down the FN School Email Request Form and return to the Help desk. Please refer to the Instructions Page  on "How to setup my FNHELP email account on my computer" ***coming soon!  If you need further assistance in requesting your new email account please contact Heidi or J.R.

Q4: How can I get free email accounts for my students?

A4:  The First Nation Help Desk does not give out accounts to students how ever we recommend that your students obtain free email accounts from  KNET that we list in our Resource Page.

Q5: Is there any software that we can we get for our school computers?

A5:  The First Nation Help Desk does have certain software licenses for the schools. Some software that we have is Symantec Antvirus (Internet Virus Program) and Microsoft Office. We also can also send out  Aboriginal Language CD's this is the  Aboriginal Language web site in CD Format. So that this can be installed on computers that don't have an internet connections. This is a great solution for the culture component of the curriculum. Please contact admin@firstnationhelp.comto obtain copies of the software.
